As the Senior Copywriter at Winc, I collaborated with the Brand Manager daily to draft up all editorial communications for the social channels to drive the voice and tone of the brand. From new product announcements and partnerships, to shareable memes and seasonal campaigns, I helped plan Winc’s monthly social calendar and write all caption, on-image, and story copy. I also worked with content creators to concept engaging content for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Since I started, the Instagram channel grew from 110K to 170K, the TikTok account has gotten 10K likes, and the Twitter account has grown in audience size to 8K.

“How to Holiday” was a weekly Instagram story series starting mid-November to give followers our best tips and tricks on how to survive the “most wonderful” (or dreaded) time of year, while also sprinkling in some product plugs.

After facing the harsh reality of trying to pull off a positive and light-hearted holiday campaign without a photoshoot during the pandemic, my design partner and I had no other option than to dabble in meme-culture for our very own spin on holiday grams. The messaging here is a spoof on recognizable holiday songs and phrases to encourage our audience to look on the bright side during a seemingly dark time.

Winc’s 2019 holiday campaign Fill Up With the Good Stuff celebrated the moments in-between the madness. After all of the lists have been checked, gifts have been gifted, and chaos has settled, this is when the real feast begins. The catching up, the stories, the games, the nostalgia — these are the moments we live for and the ones that really make us feel ‘full’. By taking a relatable approach, we focused on the inevitable and unavoidable scenarios that go down at any family gathering — the ones you love to hate and hate to love. To bring this to life on social, we created two different social series to span the entirety of the holiday season.

Winc’s winemakers practice respectful winemaking, but it’s not just something we practice — it’s something we preach this time of year. From sustainable winemaking to eco-friendly packaging, we picked a topic each week to dive into on our stories to share our commitment to leaving the planet a better place than we found it.
